Physical DescriptionJar with Wishbone Handle. Translucent purple, with opaque white trail. Blown in dip mold; applied and marvered. Rim outsplayed, horizontal, and with rounded lip; wall is straight and splayed, curving in at bottom; base plain, with low kick; pontil mark circular (D. 1.1 cm). Handle consists of purple trail dropped onto top of rim, drawn up, over mouth, and down, and attached to top of rim; mid-point of handle pinched and pulled upward, so that handle has ogival form; ends of handle pinched and pulled upward as semi-circular projections. Twenty vertical ribs extend from center of base to shortly below rim. Applied decoration: marvered trail dropped onto base, wound spirally 17 times around base and wall, ending just below top of ribs; each circuit has wavy effect created when parison was inserted in dip mold.
