Physical DescriptionTransparent green and transparent purple glass, with iridized exterior; blown, trailed, then transferred to pontil; parison sheered to form handles, lower ends of handles stamped; annealed, base ground and polished. Vase: tall, conical. Circular mouth; wall almost straight, splaying outward, then curving sharply in at bottom; padshaped base with concave underside; large pontil mark removed by grinding and polishing; edge of base also ground and polished to remove irregularities caused by trails; three ribbonlike handles curve up and out from rim; each is pinched at highest point, then curves down and in to touch upper part of wall, before continuing down, out, and in to wall shortly above midpoint; at lower point of attachment, handle has small handshaped stamp. Trailed decoration covers walls, underside of base and insides of handles: lattice made of vertical trails and trail which spirals down from top to bottom, and several additional irregular trails. Exterior lightly iridized.Provenance
