Physical DescriptionColorless glass with trails of translucent yellow, reddish-orange, deep blue and opaque white, and with colorless and opaque white cane; colorless gather slightly inflated, trailed with colored glasses and marvered (perhaps several times), and inflated again; rim worked at glory hole and finished by application of cane. Dish: shallow; rim plain; wall curves downward and inward to bottom; very narrow flat base; pontil mark consisting of incomplete circular scar. Decorated with colored trails arranged in sunburst with swirling rays which radiate from center and become progressively less organized toward rim: twelve short translucent deep blue rays of unequal length; thirteen longer opaque white rays and thirteen longer translucent yellow rays; many even longer blue and reddish-orange rays, which extend to edge. Rim is finished with cane consisting of two colorless and opaque white canes containing multiple white rods, spirally twisted and cased with colorless. Acid-etched mark on outside, just below rim: "SALVIATI".Provenance
