Physical DescriptionClear very heavy glass with grey tinge; free-blown, cut and engraved. Spreading foot with smooth pontil mark, single blade stem, very large bell-shaped bowl; the cut decoration consists of a spiral formation of leaves on the underside of the foot; on the obverse in copper wheel engraving, a large figure of naked Prometheus leaning against a rock formation on the right, with an eagle, actually a condor, perched on knee and thigh of his right leg and picking at the central breast of Prometheus, blood drops on the right thigh and the lower torso; this panel is framed by large miter cuts, the frame on the sides accentuated by a band of very intricate star cutting, on the reverse fan- shaped miter cuts and large intricate star motifs, along the rim, a festoon-like cut band; on the lower right of the panel the signature of the engraver: "V.
