Physical DescriptionTransparent amber and ruby non-lead glasses; mold-blown, pattern-molded, engraved, possibly overlaid. (a) Tall, conical, straight-sided bowl; polished, flat rim; engraved scrollwork design of cornucopias, flowers and foliage, flanked by pairs of engraved lines, in a wide band below the rim; four trailed rings around the lower two-thirds of the body, with four sets of applied pointed ruby-glass (overlaid ?) prunts in sets of four between the trailed rings; angular merese at the base of the bowl; hollow, spirally-ribbed, true-baluster stem, with eight applied pointed ruby-glass prunts in two rows on the sides; cushion knop at the base of the stem; mold-blown domed and terraced foot, with ring of engraved oval dots; polished flat footrim; no pontil mark. (b) High, domed shape, with mold- blown, rounded rim and cylindrical brim; the edge polished flat; two trailed rings on the domed portion, with two sets of six applied pointed ruby-glass prunts between the rings; applied hollow, spirally-ribbed, inverted-baluster finial, with four applied pointed ruby glass prunts; ball finial on short stem and flared base, the ball overlaid with ruby glass; no pontil mark.Provenance
