Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass; blown, engraved; machined metal parts. (a) Roughly cylindrical form; spreading, rounded base; engraved zig-zag band below the rim; engraved band of leaves around the sides; slightly concave base; rough pontil mark. (b) Flat metal sheet with vertical lip, fitting over the rim of (a); spring, handle on ball pinion, and cylinder mounted on top; an open hole at the side; mounted with wax on a long glass tube that bells out about half way; a metal loop hangs into the small end of the tube.
