Physical DescriptionAll fragments except for (b) have a dull surface and are slightly weathered; all are core-formed, trail-decorated and tooled. (a) Translucent turbid bluish-green glass, bubbly with stone, some devitrification, sugary surface in patches, light brown weathering crust. Two joining fragments also join 59.1.225a,b to form the shoulder or body section of a large globular vessel or bowl with poorly executed register of festoon decoration dragged alternately up and down in yellow and white glass, subsequently marvered into surface. (b) translucent bright green glass, unweathered, trails of opaque white and opaque yellow. Fragment preserves vessel wall of a small object, thin-walled with festoon decoration dragged one direction and marvered into surface. (c) Translucent deep blue glass, bubbly, dull surface, trails of opaque yellow, opaque white and translucent medium blue. Fragment preserves long triangular segment of vessel wall with regular feather pattern dragged alternately up and down and subsequently marvered into surface. (d) Similar to above. Fragment preserves shoulder of a vessel with horizontal blue trail and remains of an opaque yellow trail below. (e) Fragment possibly from the same vessel as (d) with feather pattern of white and yellow preserved on a small portion of wall.
