Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass; blown, cut, gilt. (a) Straight-sided, cylindrical form, with curved base; the sides with cut diamonds around a cut and gilt heart-shaped panel; the diamond with gilt floral sprays, outlined with zig-zag lines; gilt rim; applied loop handle; applied misshapen disk foot with gilt sprays of foliage on top; polished pontil mark. (b) Spreading, domed form with rounded rim and inset brim; cut rounded slices and rounded facets, with gilt decoration matching (a); facet-cut acorn finial mounted on an angular disk; gilt lines on the acorn, and cross-hatching on top.
