Physical DescriptionColorless (pale aqua tint) non-lead glass; blown sheet glass; engraved; mounted in lead caning. Flat, rectangular sheet, one side engraved, with a crown above crossed tools (hammers ?) with bulbous handles; sprays of foliage at either side, terminating in love knots; floral spray at the intersection, springing from a triple-lobed device (paired hearts ?); horizontal band with linked diamonds, bordered by matte triangles with incised parallel, vertical lines; inscribed below "hans stoder seins/ hand werckhsein ziegel decsh [?]/und seine Liebste woiss die 1772"; matte, cross-hatched borders; mounted in a square frame of lead caning, soldered at the corners; brass loops at the top, for hanging.
