Physical DescriptionOpaque white lead glass; blown, cut, and gilt. Circular form, with tapered, straight sides; panel-cut at the base; with gilt decoration: gilt rim, the flutes with alternating gilt "mosaic" and sunburst patterns; the band above the flutes with gilt classical figures, including two men, one leaning on a shield, the other offering flowers; and two women, one holding a cup and pail, the other a dish, derived from a classical source; flat base with polished pontil mark.Provenance
