Physical DescriptionColorless (stained red) non-lead glass; blown, cut, stained, enameled, gilt, silvered. (a) Waisted, panel-cut neck; bands of enameled, gilt and silvered flowers, vines, and scrolls; gilt, flat, polished rim; gilt annulated neck ring; cut, stepped shoulder with gilt rings; panel-cut vertical sides, with enameled, gilt and silvered scrolls, flowers and vines; flared base with cut ropework edge, gilt lines accentuating the cuts, and in a band above; cut cylindrical base; cut star on the bottom; the entire piece stained bright red on the exterior. (b) Stopper with polished, flat, circular top; enameled and gilt floral spray on top, gilt lines on the rim; tapered, cut shank with polished flat end; stained red on all surfaces. (c) Cylindrical, straight-sided form, with rounded base; cut and gilt cylindrical rim, with enameled and gilt floral vine; panel-cut sides, with gilt band at the top; gilt, enameled and silvered flowers, scrolls and vines on the sides; gilt circular panel on the base, with gilt framing line, and gilt and enameled floral spray at the center; stained red on the exterior.
