Physical DescriptionGoblet. Colorless, with grayish tinge; opaque white. Vetro a fili, vetro a retorti; tooled. Spreading funnel bowl with fire-polished rim, lower part with four constrictions and upper part pinched into four lobes; stem consists of flattened hollow knop between two colorless mereses; joined to blown pedestal foot with infolded edge and pontil mark. Bowl, knop, and foot are decorated by alternating vetro a fili and six ply twisted vetro a retorti canes. Some long bubbles were produced while canes were being assembled for filigrana decoration.Provenance
