Physical DescriptionTransparent amber, opaque white and pink non-lead glass; cast, carved and engraved (diamond tools), acid polished. (a) Solid chunk of glass, of roughly wedge shape; carved to form a bearded male head, with straps across the nose and chin, and on both sides; the mouth pulled open to reveal polyester teeth and gums; long hair at the sides on top of the head; triangular section underneath, inscribed in script: "Leibovitz / 7-9"; a small, cylindrical hole drilled in the section to fit a pin on the base (b). (b) The head mounted at an angle on a turned acrylic pin, on a larger polished acrylic rod; mounted on a square acrylic slab, a cylindrical acrylic shaft, and a second square acrylic slab forming the base.Provenance
