Physical DescriptionTranslucent emerald-green glass slightly bubbly, dull surface with some patches of iridescent weathering crust; cast, lathe-cut and polished, subsequently wheel-cut white intaglio decoration. Fragment preserves triangular section of vessel wall, upper surface divided by a narrow relief-cut band outside of which is cut a garland or repetitive leaf pattern in intaglio, area inside the band is plain; underside of the vessel at a slightly smaller circumference is a wider relief-cut band corresponding to the one on the top followed by two lathe-cut grooves and corresponding ridges between them; remainder of the underside is plain as far as preserved, while the area corresponding to the underside of the rim swells into a convex form just beyond the widest relief-cut groove and tapers out to the edge as far as preserved.Provenance
