Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass; blown, engraved, cut. Flared, cylindrical shape, with band of cut rounded flutes below the rim; engraved band of figures on the side, the figure of Fortuna, a woman, partly draped, holding a flaming heart in her upraised left hand; and four male figures, representing the four Elements: a man leaning over a trough, looking at his reflection in water, with a spout of water at the side, another man digging with a shovel, another, with winged hat, holding a four-paddle windmill toy, and a bearded, crouching figure adding wood to a furnace that is heating a glass flask; engraved rope band at the base; rounded foot rim with square-cut rim, ground base; polished pontil mark.Provenance
