Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass; blown, cut, engraved. Bell-shaped bowl with border of polished lenses at the rim; engraved decoration on the sides: a shield, containing two armored male figures shaking hands, inscribed "DAVID" at the left and "IONATHAN" at the right; with sprays of foliage and flowers, and a polished shell framing the shield; on the reverse a crowned shield with beaded frames, containing crossed hammers, with male supporters, dressed in long coats, hats with crossed hammers, and holding tall hammer-pikes; inscribed "Wir Wollens So Bey unseren Berg Werck halten, Treu Rethlich/ohne Falsch So machten es Die Alten."; stem composed of a merese above a flattened ball knop with cut lenses on the rim, a merese, and a conical section; domed foot with engraved wreath of foliage and dots; rough pontil mark.
