Physical DescriptionColorless lead glass; pressed, cut; molded, encased sulphide; metal wire. Flat, oval shape, composed of two pieces of glass, cemented together; a slightly convex, octagonal panel, enclosing a molded white sulphide of a monk, with crossed arms, inscribed in blue script on a tablet below, "Ste Etienne.", plaque with shell ends and scroll support; cemented to a pressed, oval "frame", with scalloped rim, recessed center; reverse side of the rim with molded shells in relief, center of the back filled with nail-head diamonds; center pierced; rim pierced, with wire hanger.Provenance
