Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass; blown, cut, enameled, gilded. Waisted shape with rounded base; lower half cut with a series of oval facets, with cross-hatched fields or sets of cross-hatched diamonds between and below; oval panels yellow-stained, enameled black, and with scratched decoration of a butterfly and caterpillar, a snail on a branch, a bird, two moths or butterflies, a moth (?), a butterfly, and two birds; rectangular panel above decorated in sepia enamel of the drunkenness of Bacchus, with Bacchus (or Silenus) being carried by two satyrs, while two putti lead; signed "Mohn 812" at the lower right; renaissance-style swans and foliage in amber stain, gilded, on the reverse; gilded cut star on the bottom paper collection label of Neuburg.
