Physical DescriptionTranslucent opal cased in colorless non-lead glasses, with smoked flat glass and colored enamels; blown, cased, cut, adhered, sandblasted and enameled. Cased sphere has internal decoration of broad, irregular spiraling and patches of color and overall irregular pattern of dark netting; upper one-third of sphere has been sandblasted leaving intermittent small geometric shapes in relief with background of airbrushed multicolored and metallic paints; a top layer of wall has been sliced through, then polished and overlaid with an adhered disc of smoked flat glass scribed into four quadrants with center opening sandblasted with tapered and scalloped edge; narrow base has been sliced off and covered with adhered disc of colorless creating a low, narrow foot; inscribed in script on base "Robert Palusky/1987".
