Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass, with gold lustre decoration, polychrome ceramic; glass bowl appears to have been detached from commercially produced machine-manufactured ware adhered to glazed hollow white stoneware stem-hand build with wheel-thrown foot. Colorless bowl with gold lustre brush drawing of two female busts on opposite sides, original glass stem has been detached and bowl adhered within flared ceramic collar (black with gold lustre band) which narrows, then flares (white background with large gold spots), narrowing again (vertical bars of alternating black and white outlined in gold) then extending downward (underglaze drawings and washes of two nude female torsos with raised arms, gold details, commercial floral decals) and tapering (second band of black, white, gold bars) to flared conical foot (floral decals, rim edged in wide gold band); overall colorless glaze; glazed on underside of foot: "Laney K. Oxman/88".
