Physical DescriptionTransparent brilliant blue and opaque white lead glasses; blown, cameo-carved. Tall, ovoid shape, with cylindrical neck; rounded shoulders, side tapering to a rounded base, on a sloping foot; white overlay on blue, cameo-carved; ornamental border on the rim of eight-petal flowers alternating with panels with concave sides, above a formal band of scrolls and foliage on the shoulder; figure of a woman holding the bunched hem of a flowing gown on the side, with palm and other plants growing naturalistically from the ground; incised signature "G. Woodall" in script below the palm plant; a speckled band below, with a border of inverted arches below that; a band of repeated maple (?) leaves at the foot; a border of repeated arcs within arcs, and stylized foliage around the foot; acid-etched mark on the underside of the foot; "THOMAS WEBB & SON" in an arc above "GEM / CAMEO"; printed paper label inscribed "COLLECTION OF DR. & MRS. LEONARD S. RAKOW" in a circle, with typed "CG-3" in the center.
