Physical DescriptionColorless glass with greyish tinge; blown in a mold, enamel decoration. Square bottle, round rim, short, almost cylindrical neck tapers slightly to rounded shoulder, square mold-blown body, flat base; large ground and polished pontil. Elaborate gilt arcade with openwork pattern runs across shoulder and corners to frame sides; simple gilt band at rim and vertical strokes on neck, horizontal bands and chevrons at base of neck create a frame for enamel decoration on shoulder. Large oval flowers with rose and pink enamel highlighted with white and light green leaves highlighted with black alternate with "iris- like" deep blue flowers highlighted with white, all are gilt- outlined. Side panels repeat the elaborate rose flower with full blossoms and closed buds in a leafy bush but the deep blue flower is a simple five petal form on a bush with clusters of three berries and small leaves.
