Physical DescriptionSnuff Bottle and Stopper. Opaque brilliant orange non-lead glass, turquoise, pearl, black plastic, cork, ivory; blown, carved. (a) Flattened, ovoid form; flat, disk-carved rim; short, cylindrical neck; rounded shoulders and sides; deeply carved linear symbols (characters ? Xi) on each face, with stylized dragon's heads at the centers; carved oval foot rim; paper label on the bottom, inscribed in ink "98./488". (b) Domed opaque turquoise cap, with tiny pearl on top, mounted on a thin black (plastic) disk, tapered cork stopper and short slender ivory spoon with pointed oval bowl.
