Physical DescriptionColorless lead glass; pressed, cut; molded, encased sulphide. Straight-sided, cylindrical shape, with cut rim; sides with molded band of rounded panels, with smaller rounded panels of sharp diamonds, separated from a lower band of molded panels of sharp diamonds by a ribbed band; panels separated from each other by vertical ribbed bands; octagonal raised panel with cut rim, on the side, encasing a molded ceramic (sulphide) depiction of a halloed, robed woman holding a halloed, robed child in her arms; inscribed in blue script below "S la Vierge"; projecting rounded feet, with radial triangular molded diamond panels on the underside, with ribbed grooves between; and a raised, polished circular panel in the center.
