Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass; blown, cut, engraved. (a) Ovoid bowl with thick base; engraved continuous landscape, with a walled city, hills and fields, with a windmill; inscribed above "Salus Patria" with a hand emerging from the clouds, sprinkling flowers from a cornucopia on the city; cut chevrons at the base of the bowl; multiple air beads in the bottom of the bowl; diamond- faceted stem, composed of a ball knop over an inverted baluster, with large air bubbles in each; domed foot with cut facets on top; folded rim; rough pontil mark. (b) Domed form with cut panels on top; folded rim, inset brim; faceted baluster finial; rough pontil mark inside.
