Physical DescriptionTransparent dark blue, green non-lead (?) glass, gold foil; blown, threaded, polished. (A) Low, circular form, with rounded sides and everted rim; the sides decorated with blue and green threading and gold foil, drawn down into feathery panels; disk foot, with polished rim and polished pontil mark; engraved "Qri/ Iwata" in script. (B) Cubic wooden box, with inset cover inscribed in black ink "Iwata/Glass/1980 Qri" and a red seal with the character for " "; woven flat purple ribbon passes through the sides of the base, and tie on top, to hold the cover in place; a piece of bright yellow-orange fabric inside.
