Physical DescriptionToilet Bottle with Stoppe. Transparent brilliant yellow-green non-lead glass; blown, cut. (a) Spreading flared shape; polished flat, thick rim; the neck ground and polished for a stopper (b); the rim panel-cut on the underside; cylindrical neck section, with eight cut flat panels, between the rim and a panel-cut and chamfered collar; similar, sloping section below, with another similar collar; flared, panel-cut sides below, ending in an elaborately petal-cut flange, with projections cut in a double cyma curve, and with trefoil cut indentations between; the sides tapered below, in a sharp curve, panel-cut; cut, octagonal foot, the bottom cut in a pattern of diamond and octagonal plateaus with cut sunbursts. (b) Exaggerated, flared shape, imitative of the bottle; small, radially ribbed, hemispherical finial; sloping, panel-cut sides, flaring to a flange cut in the same shape as the flange on (a); the panel-cut sides tapered in a curve below; tapered, cylindrical shank, polished to fit the neck of (a); polished, flat base with chamfered rim.
