Physical DescriptionOpaque white lead glass; blown, cut, gilt. (a) Flattened, oval shape, with straight sides; short, cylindrical neck with cut threading on the sides, to fit (c); rough ground to fit a stopper (b); rounded shoulders with gilt radial petals; the faces of the sides with gilt decoration: on one side, a tall pagoda, and on the reverse, an exotic bird, flanked by tall, willowy trees; framed by borders of linked rings and ovals, the sides polished flat, with faceted corners, outlined with gilding; polished, flat base; small square paper sticker inscribed "21" in ink. (b) Tapered, ground shank, flat, polygonal stopper with gilt rays on the faces, and gilt edges; inscribed "1" in gilt on the end of the shank. (c) Cylindrical shape, with domed top; molded rim; threading inside.
