Physical DescriptionDark red-brown copper; stamped (minted). Flat, circular form, the obverse with a portrait of Napoleon I facing sinister, inscribed "NAPOLEON EMP. ET ROI." and on the shoulder "ANDRIEU F."; on the reverse, an empty throne, a table filled with crowns and three on the floor, an eagle with spread wings above, inscribed below "SOUVERAINETES DONNEES/MDCCCVI/ANDRIEU F. DENON D."
