Physical DescriptionAlmost colorless, with yellowish tinge; minute bubbles. Blown; facet-, linear-, and slant-cut. Bottle with globular body. Rim plain, with flat top; neck cylindrical; wall curves out, down, and in; base has hollow foot-ring made by folding; no pontil mark. Decorated on neck and wall. On neck: four continuous horizontal bands (from top to bottom): (1) plain; (2 and 3) six narrow oval facets arranged to form row of chevrons, with one short horizontal cut in each triangle above and below chevrons; and (4) four tall rectangular facets. Above each band is one horizontal groove. On wall: continuous horizontal frieze of linear- and slant-cut ornament: two rhombuses with double outlines at top and single outlines at bottom, each containing one stylized tendril on curving stem, with short, straight cuts in background. On either side of rhombuses, wide ogival arch with double outline, in which upper lines spring from angles at sides of rhombuses and lower lines are parallel to outlines of bottoms of rhombuses. Each arch contains two stylized tendrils separated by hatched oval motif. In spandrels on either side of arches, similar tendril-like motifs with short, straight cuts in backgrounds.
