Physical DescriptionTranslucent white non-lead glass, opaque polychrome enamels, metallic gold; mold-blown, ground, enameled, gilded, possibly some other cold painting. Cylindrical vase with lipless cracked-off rim with traces of gold trim, short neck tapers in and is enameled green that fades into narrow shoulder area; almost straight walls taper in slightly toward base, half side of body enameled against the white background glass with a spray of life-sized purple and white beaded iris with amber interior and raised gold dot accents, two purple buds (one on front lef has two gold dot accents), pointed foliage in light brown, yellow, green and gold (outlining unpainted white of glass), scattered gold linear detailing throughout foliage, spray frames a small realistically represented figure of a female against a mottled pastel background, figure has loosely arranged reddish brown hair adorned with small white flowers, front left arm is crooked around her head, the other is outstretched, her shoulders are bare and she wears a Empire waisted peach colored gown that fades toward feet area, above the vignette a length of horizontal yellow-green "ribbon" band connects the two halves of the flower spray; base of body is waisted to form inset hollow foot with traces of gold banding; flattened, slightly concave base with mold and tool marks, no pontil; unsigned.Provenance
