Physical DescriptionLithyalin Beaker. Green-blue, presumably non-lead glass; free-blown, cut, enameled and gilded. Circular form, half-round molding-like curve at bottom from which sides rise in slight concave curve to rim with inside beveled edge; decoration: gilded rim at top; sides cut in six panels and with henna enamel; on each panel, large relief green-blue (matrix) pointed leaf lozenge with disc at rounded end, edges of leaves and discs gilded, henna enamel on multi-pointed motif on disc; on half-round, six green-blue (matrix) diamond bosses with gilded sides, and, between bosses, leaf and cross motif painted green and gilded, sage green enamel over the henna except for 2.2 cm center, fine scalloped gold line around center and inside saw-tooth edge.Provenance
