Physical DescriptionGold Glass Panel, "Pharaoh's Horses." Colorless, transparent pale amethyst non-lead glasses, black and/or dark green powdered glass enamels, 24k-gold leaf, lead, metallic gold; layers of rolled flat glass fused (three to four times) with internal engraved gold-leaf glass enamel drawing, framed in lead. Small thick rectangular panel with vertical format; between layers of flat colorless is a stylized green/black enamel and engraved linear drawing of an overlapped pair of prancing horses (in profile) with arched tails, front horse has a rider with pointed head, image is against a golden background; back sheet of glass appears to be pale amethyst; overall scattered bubbles and seeds; wide beveled glass frame with mottled surface; unsigned.Provenance
