Physical DescriptionColorless, translucent and opaque amethyst non-lead glasses; blown, pâte de verre (applied with a pastry tube), sandblasted. Blown hemispherical colorless vessel partially overlaid with amethyst, surrounded (starting just below slightly narrowed, flat rim) with raised latticework "cage" connected to vessel by short struts (producing slight indentations where attached to vessel), cage is opaque amethyst and irregular, applied in three bands connected by thin verticals in herringbone pattern, on two opposite walls cage is "cut-out" leaving V-shaped undecorated areas; slightly flattened base.
