Physical DescriptionTransparent bottle green glass, partly covered with opaque purple film; blown, base ground, body (including underside of base) sprayed with salts to produce opaque film, except in areas previously covered with resist. Vessel: gourd-shaped. Rim plain, rounded; neck splays and is slightly curved and stemlike; body consists of two spheroid forms, one above other, with broad "waist", like fruit of gourd; base plain, with broad concavity at center of underside. Whole of body (including underside of base) has opaque purple finish, except for three elliptical areas in upper part and three similar but larger areas in lower part, where green glass is exposed. Two signatures on underside of base: (1) at edge, covered by purple film, and at present partly obscured by felt pads, "KOS|TA BODA ATELIER Gunnel Sahlin" and "8|30034/25"; (2) at center, scratched through purple film, "KOSTA BODA / Gunnel Sahlin / "RUMBA".Provenance
