Physical DescriptionMultiple strips and canes of translucent blue and opaque white glass, pitted with many bubbles, thin iridescent film flaking off; mosaic glass technique. Fragment preserves a wide probably rectangular molding strip composed of three primarily half-round elements fused together, the upper element is a blue cane overlaid with a thin white layer in turn cased with blue into which a narrow white trail has been marvered. The central band is a base of opaque white overlaid with a strip of blue followed by a narrow band of white and blue which has been cut back in several areas to reveal the opaque white beneath. Between the upper and lower units is placed a small strip of white and blue; the lower band is again a base of blue overlaid with white and blue, along the center is applied a square strip with a thin band of white in the upper outer corner; all of these elements have been fused into a single strip which is flat on the back.
