Physical DescriptionColorless lead glass; mold-blown, hot-worked, applied, blown. The domed foot of the sweetmeat tree has a double ribbed rim. Above the foot is a concavity and a merese under a hollow blown sphere. The upper stem simulates a fluted column. Atop this shaft is an applied, pillar molded, pyriform bowl. Applied to the column are eight off-hand formed branches, the upturned tips of which have been pinched with a waffle pattern tool. The baskets, four of which have applied feet, have pillar molded bodies. The feet and rims are applied, as are the handles, which at their junctures with the rim are sealed by a raspberry prunt in a glass doughnut. Four footed larger baskets and three smaller baskets survive.Provenance
