Physical DescriptionColorless glass; machine-blown, gilded and enameled. Tumbler. Rim plain, with rounded lip; wall straight, tapering; base plain. Gilded and enameled decoration on rim and wall: on rim, continuous gold band on outside and top of lip; on upper wall, red inscription in three lines, "CORNING / GLASS / WORKS"; below this, octagonal gold medallion enclosing blue disk with, near edge, two groups of five gold stars separated by geometric motifs and, at center, colorless rectangular panel with gold outline and gold "100"; below it, red inscription in italic, "100th Anniversary Dinner"; to right of inscriptions and medallion, partly overwritten by "ner" of "Dinner", vertical column of fours dates "1851" alternating with four dates "1951", all in italic.Provenance
