Physical DescriptionMosaic Bead. Deep blue opaque (matrix); white, red, and yellow, all opaque (cane slices). Slices of preformed canes inlaid in matrix formed around rod. Biconical bead tending toward spheroid, with circular perforation (D. 0.65 cm). Blue matrix embedded with numerous slices and chips of polychrome canes, of which two types occur: (1) with circular yellow core surrounded by concentric circles of red, white, and blue and white stripes; (2) with circular red core surrounded by concentric bands of white and blue and white stripes. Sides of perforation retain traces of kiln wash.
