Physical DescriptionColorless; cut, printed, cold-painted, glued. Slide consisting of a rectangle of colorless sheet glass framed in green paper tape around edges. The slide is divided into printed segments separated by vertical lines. The left illustration (no. 4) shows Averant standing frontally, negotiating with the crow sitting in a tree, while the dead eagle lies on the ground beneath it. The text in the central panel reads, "N 4. La Belle aux cheveaux d'or./ Averant tue un aigle qui poursuit/ un corbeau. Le corbeau promet de lui/ être utile. N 5. il delivre un hibou/ pris dans un filet qui lui assure/ sa protection. N 6. averant demand/ la main de la Belle. elle dit qu'elle/ répousera le roi que s'il retrouve/ une bague qu'elle a luissé Tumber dans la rivière."
