Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass, tan fire-clay, brown stain; glass: hot-worked, cut, polished, clay: thrown, stained with oxide (probably iron), fired. Mixed-media horizontal sculpture that sits propped at an angle; (a) solid smooth bi-conical piece of colorless glass with majority of length shaped toward a fine point, opposite wide end is also worked to a point, glass fits through hole in clay so that narrow point protrudes up from underside of disk, broad end supports disk so that it leans and rests on one side; (b) wide, solid, flat unglazed clay disk with rounded edge and incised line around circumference, top side of disk at center decorated with an incised square with interior stained brown, small unstained square (containing incised monogram which appears to be "ra" within an incised square) situated near edge along one side of square interior, at center of large square a circular hole pierces through the disk with narrow end of opening at top surface flaring to wide opening on base, interior of hole also stained brown, overall speckled surface from clay composition; may be the incised monogram wihin square: "ra".
