Physical DescriptionBarber Bottle. Transparent pale blue non-lead glass; mold-blown in optic mold, tooled, etched?, enameled, gilded. Barber bottle of transparent pale blue glass with air inclusions and faint, vertical ribs globular body with a long bulbous neck; tooled rim with a rolled lip. The body is painted with a "Japonisme" design of gilded bands intersecting a circle, surrounded by three stylized (lotus?) flowers in pale and dark green enamel with long curving stems and large white pistils. A wide gilded band with white dotted decoration ornaments the widest part of the bulbous neck. Round base with a shallow kick and a rough circular pontil mark.Provenance
