Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass; black plastic; black rubber; white ceramic; white fabric; brown and red paper; turquoise, black and tan cardboard; stainless steel, galvanized iron; mold-blown by machine; a) bulbous shaped lower bowl; flared rim with pinched lip; cylindrical neck; metal band around neck, two small areas of band bulged out, areas opposite each other, "TRADE SILEX MARK/REG.U.S.PAT.OFFICE" stamped into side of band to left of handle, "U.S. PAT. NO. 1859614/ OTHER PATS. PEND. /B-463" stamped into band to right of handle; handle opposite lip, handle attached by metal band and screws, handle curved up then out; body tapered out to shoulder; slightly rounded in from shoulder to base, water fill markers in shape of cups on side of bowl, vertical squiggly line in between them, "PYREX®/MADE IN U.S.A./LM-4" printed on side of bowl to right of markers; flat circular base; b) globular shaped upper bowl; short straight sided polished rim; body slightly tapered out to base; base tapered in to top of hollow stem extending down from middle bowl; rubber collar around top of stem; top of stem flared in to narrow cylindrical body; base of stem open; c) circular filter piece; top rounded; hole in center; flat metal rod inserted through hole, top folded over to hold in place; piece of circular white fabric (filter cloth) with elastic edge over top of filter; metal rod extends down from filter piece, metal spring around it, chain with ball at end hanging down from hook attached to bottom of spring; d) metal heat spreader grid; four sided wire frame; rounded corners; sides pinched in so grid has star shape; e) square paper bag for grid; opening in top; top of back of bag rounded, top of front squared off, both edges serrated; ...
