Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass; white decoration; yellow metal plate; black and maroon plastics; mold-blown by machine, screen printed; a) conical shaped carafe; rim rounded in to neck, rim has machine finished edge with pinched lip; short cylindrical neck, metal band around neck; handle opposite lip, attached to neck by metal band and screws, handle shape parallel to shape of carafe (rounded in then out); body of carafe tapered and rounded out to bottom, bottom rounded in to base; white stylized daisies of varying sizes around body, measuring marks and 8 CUPS/ 6 CUPS/ 4 CUPS" printed onto side of body below handle, "1" and "Tricolette [in script]/flameproof" printed on side of body to right of handle; flat circular base; b) circular cover; round knob with concave top and sides that taper out to cover; cover slightly domed, rim turned up vertically; semi-ovoid shaped tab on one side of cover, parts to attach cover to carafe on underside of tab; c) conical shaped coffee filter cone; two flat handles at top, are opposite each other and have squared off with rounded ends, "Filtex #12" molded into one handle, "TRICOLATOR / BALTIMORE, N.Y. " molded into other; basket tapered into cylindrical tube at bottom; filter open at both ends; four raised equally spaced vertical lines on exterior of filter, four equally spaced sets of two raised vertical lines on interior, all lines start about one third of the way down from the top rim of the filter.Provenance
