Physical DescriptionColorless lead glass; cast, sandblasted, polished. Solid cube format divided visually into two roughly equal horizontal halves: top half is squared colorless, polished clear with sharp edges, almost at center of interior is a small spherical air trap, down from it streams a trail of minute bubbles that become four horizontal layers of undulating veiling across the base of upper section; beneath the veiling the glass is sharply undercut with a raised latticework motif, out of that grid extends the lower half of the sculpture completely sandblasted to create a frosted surface effect, this lower half is comprised of cylindrical (sometimes with fluted edges) sections of different sizes, some with tapered and stepped ends of concentric rings, some colliding at different angles, those elements which extend to the edge of the cube boundary are "sliced" off and polished on the exterior side, from the intersecting cylinders extend two narrow fluted lengths forming two of the three feet arranged as a triangle, the third foot is the tapered, then flattened end of the largest cylinder (with a hollow cylindrical core).
