Physical DescriptionClear glass with bubbles; wear marks; free-blown and cut, with gilt and enameled medallion and hoop. Cylindrical body with ground pontil mark on base, sloping shoulder, neck slightly tapering to rim; a cut sunflower on base, three bands of olive- shaped facets around bottom, below shoulder and around neck, surmounted by small arrows; a set-in hoop at rim: a gilt chain and a row of flowers on red, on the inside a silver foil; a set-in medallion on the body, surrounded by olive-shaped facets and showing on the outside the gilt monogram CFK framed by a chain on a red background, on the inside the friendship- motto in red on gold: "Wahre Freundschaft macht Vergnuegen - Sie thut Ihre Feynd besiegen, - Unterdruecht die Eigenlieb ? - Freund! das ist ein edler Trieb", with the initials of the donor: "F. K." (True friendship is wonderful, it conquers your enemies, it surpresses the selflove, friend! that is an honnest moving force).
