Physical DescriptionColorless, transparent blue tint non-lead glass, stainless steel, aluminosilicate, borosilicate; mold blown by machine, pressed; (a) cylindrical shape; machine finished top rim with pinched and curled lip; body has a channel around its circumference about a third of the way down from the rim to the base; metal band in channel; handle attached by metal band, attachment piece, and screw; metal attachment piece stamped with PYREX FLAMEWARE trademark; cylindrical octagonal glass handle; body has flat base stamped with green PYREX FLAMEWARE trademark including item number "7826-B," old catalog number "401.82b" and "C.P.D./ARCHIVES" inscribed on base; (b) circular cover; rounded flange; rim of greater diameter than cylindrical insert; old catalog number "401.82a" inscribed underneath rim; "A-U/8106-C" pressed into insert, insert has two semicircular tabs, one opposite the other; underside of lid has four bumps inside raised scalloped edged circle, "PYREX/MADE IN U.S.A." molded into underside.Provenance
