Physical DescriptionClear glass with many minute bubbles and impurities, cloudy effect on the interior; pattern-molded, half-post method and enameled. Rectangular straight-sided body with ribs in diagonals, sloping shoulder and joined in half-post method, screw top, almost flat base with rough pontil mark; on the obverse in multicolored "peasant type" enameling, a woman in a blue blouse and red and white skirt lifting her left arm; on the reverse: "brantte wein ist dasz leben mein." (Brandy is my life.); multicolored flowers and leaf stalks on the narrow sides and yellow and red dashes on the diagonals; a red stripe with yellow leaves on the shoulder.Provenance
