Physical DescriptionBrilliant opaque yellow non-lead glass; blown, relief-carved. Tall, ovoid body; with tall, cylindrical neck; cut, flared rim, with cut chamfers inside; side of the neck cut flat; the necks decorated with relief-carved formal overlapping foliage on the lower halves; cut "Greek-key" meander borders at the base of the neck; the ovoid sides with wide, continuous bands of relief-carved squirrels in branches, one jumping (the patterns the same on both vases, but one is the reverse of the other); chamfered bands at the base; polished, flat base rim, with polished concave pontil mark.Provenance
