Physical DescriptionClear glass with few minute bubbles; free-blown and pattern- molded, with applied and tooled decoration. Conical trumpet shaped foot with folded rim and pontil mark, ball knop, boat- shaped elongated bowl with folded rim and pointed towards front, applied large spout at lower bowl; the body is surmounted by two triangular-shaped "panels" - each consisting of four rows of free standing open-work zig-zag threads - which in turn support two U-shaped threads onto which a snake-like monster with yellow and black eyes is attached; foot, knop, bowl and snake finial are patterned in rib molds (foot: 20 ribs; knop and finial: 14 ribs; body: 16 ribs), two crimped bands as well as four raspberry-like and two lionmask prunts are applied to the lower bowl, a free standing double zig-zag thread with crimped "finials" is applied to the pointed end of the rim, spiral thread applied to finial.
